In the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 tournament in Antwerp, the Austrian beat the Pole in 2h54 of play. After conceding the first set 6-3, Dominic Thiem won the next two sets in the tie-break, with a first decisive game going up to 11-9.

The Austrian then beat the No. 1 seed of this Belgian tournament and reached the semi-finals.
He will face American Sam Korda for a place in the final.
