Star striker Erling Haaland scores as he pleases in the Premier League: In the 13th league game for Manchester City, the Norwegian scored his 16th and 17th goals of the season. Thanks to his goals, the Citizens won 3-1 (2-0) against Brighton & Hove Albion.
It was Haaland's second brace in the league, and the 22-year-old has three hat-tricks in the Premier League so far.
Haaland scored five times in the Champions League, including two braces.
Dream goal by De Bruyne
Haaland benefited from an outstanding assist from City keeper Ederson in his first goal against Brighton.
Haaland passed his pass with his chest past the rushing out Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, asserted himself robustly against Adam Webster - and pushed into the empty goal (22nd minute).
He scored the second goal from the penalty spot.
Bernardo Silva had previously been pushed slightly by Pascal Groß and then cleverly threaded Lewis Dunk.
After viewing the video images, the referee awarded a penalty.
Haaland didn't miss the opportunity (43').
Leandro Trossard managed to get Brighton's goal back (53'), but the game was decided with Kevin de Bruyne's dream goal to make it 3-1 (75').
City remain second in the table with 26 points.
Arsenal are at the top with a point more – and a game less.
