The award ceremony for the winners of the Schönach Shooting took place in a festive atmosphere.

The organizers from Ingenried had worked very hard for this.

Ingenried – Large train station for the shooters: At the award ceremony for the most successful participants in the Schönach shooting, a small number of the local Ingenried brass band played, the hard-working helpers of the hosts had converted the multi-purpose hall from a sports arena into a festival hall in no time at all, so that marksman Markus Hack, this time in traditional costume, was able to open the event on time.

And there was a lot of work waiting for him.

Cash prizes, hand-painted discs and 152 fixed prizes were up for grabs.

"Whoever reaps, must also sow," said Ingenried's mayor, Georg Saur, associating the Schönach shooting with Thanksgiving.

"Our shooters prepared the series of events intensively and with a lot of commitment, and it was worth it." The town hall boss paid tribute to the club members with their many helpers as well as the shooters involved.

"They have to train and have shown body control," he praised when the targets were handed over, which the administrative community and himself had awarded to the best with air rifles and air pistols.

They had a good laugh that evening: the representatives of the three most accurate teams from Schwabniederhofen, Schwabsoien and Ingenried.

Ingenried's marksman Markus Hack presented a 13.0 divider with the air rifle.

Altenstadt's Sebastian Stegherr received the traditional disc for his 3.4 divider with the air pistol.

Ingenried's rifle champion described the participation as phenomenal, the organizer counted a total of 277 participants.

"We didn't expect so many," enthused Hack, "on the last day of shooting we were almost overrun, there were still around a hundred shooters."

Of the foreign shooters, 32 came from Schwabniederhofen, 23 from Schwabsoien and 21 from Hohenfurch.

Schwabniederhofen proved to be a stronghold for shooters: the smallest club in the VG provided the most accurate shooters and won the local ranking with 971 points.

Lea Demmler, Michael Vosta, Bettina Stolle, Hans Meßmer, Christian Lang, Klaus Waldmann, Magdalena Lang, Birgit Waldmann, Christian Stolle and Markus Demmler belonged to the team of ten shooters.

They prevailed in the hard disc competition and both chose a television as their prize.

Cash prizes were awarded on the dot disc.

Birgit Waldmann, Wilhelm Pitzl (both Schwabniederhofen) and Schwabsoiens Bernhard Häringer were the first to strike.

The three hand-painted discs of honor each went to Markus Erhard (Ingenried) with a 9.4 divisor, Klaus Stolle (29.1) and Hans Meßmer (33.1), both from Schwabniederhofen.
