Ringer does not manage the weigh-in: Late bus brings SpVgg Freising to the first sense of achievement

Because the bus was late, the Freising wrestler Jasurbek Ubaidulloev missed the weigh-in.

This had dire consequences for his club.

– Bitter, bitter: The Freising wrestlers on the mat actually did better than ever this year in the Bavarian league against SV Untergriesbach.

In the end, however, there was still the highest bankruptcy of the season.

Because the SpVgg left both classes up to 75 kilos vacant at home, the encounter is rated at 0:36 from the hosts’ point of view instead of the hard-fought 17:17.

So the defeat for Freising was already on the scales

But how did the dilemma come about, even though the 98-kilo man Navid Saifi finally got his status as a sports German?

Coach Csongor Knipli explained that Jasurbek Ubaidulloev, who lives in Zolling, did not arrive in time for the weigh-in because of a late bus: "We tried everything, were still considering whether there is a replacement for him." But all efforts came to nothing.

So the defeat was already on the scales.

The fight started as usual in front of around 100 spectators in the Luitpold facility.

Johan Mitzscherling (57 kilos freestyle) met Maximilian Fisch.

After a minute and a half, the Freisinger was 0:10 behind, but then he defended himself spectacularly: With two head moves he had almost shouldered his opponent, on the third attempt it worked - and Mitzscherling was able to celebrate his first win of the season.

In the heavyweight division there was the second premature victory.

Damian Dudzinski also tricked his opponent from Untergriesbach, Josef Neumüller, with a head move.

Navid Saifi (98 kilos freestyle) won against Daniel Rowe by technical superiority and Yannic Schmid (86 kilos Greco) narrowly won against Marvin Music.

The razor-thin defeat of Dominik scratches (80 kilos freestyle) against Nicolay Kurtev is worthy of all honor, but this did not bring anything for Freising that evening.
