Scrum-half Antoine Dupont will captain France's XV in November's Tests against Australia, South Africa and Japan, the French Rugby Federation announced on Monday.
The Toulousain, named best player in the world in 2021, had inherited the captaincy of the Blues a year ago following the long injury of Charles Ollivon.
He will keep it this fall despite the return to the third line group of Toulon, the first captain appointed by coach Fabien Galthié when he took office.
The renewal of Dupont is not a surprise as the 25-year-old player (40 caps) has perfectly fulfilled his new role, which he should keep until the World Cup next year in France.
The muse of French rugby has won all of his matches as captain of the Blues, during last year's autumn tests (Argentina, Georgia and New Zealand) and the last Six Nations Tournament, concluded by a Grand Slam.
