Haaland, "the best player in the world with Mbappé", his calves, the party: when Grealish confides

In the summer of 2021, Jack Grealish was the most expensive striker in the world when he moved from Aston Villa to Manchester United for 117 million euros, raising on his shoulders an expectation just as extraordinary as the price of his transfer.

The 27-year-old Englishman, 24 caps with the three lions team, gave an interview to Équipe Magazine in which he agreed to talk about his teammate Erling Haaland, his taste for partying, his… calves which are the subject of a specially dedicated calendar.

But not his Mancunian teammate Benjamin Mendy, currently on trial for several rapes.

Grealish's name had been cited as that of one of the participants in one of the private parties at the Frenchman's home on the day one of the rapes was allegedly committed.

But Manchester City are not allowing any of their players to comment on the Mendy case.

"He's a predator"

For Grealish, no doubt, his new teammate Erling Haaland is an alien.

"The way we play, with a lot of crosses coming into the area, suits him perfectly," he explains.

He's a predator.

He is a very gifted striker, who remains very humble.

For Grealish, the Norwegian already rules the football planet.

“For me, he is perhaps the best player in the world today, with Kylian Mbappé, he believes.

But he has a different style from Mbappé, who likes to start his actions from one side.

What is certain is that Erling already belongs to the caste of the best forward strikers in the world, along with Harry (Kane), Robert) Lewandowski and (Karim) Benzema.

“The calendar, I gave it to my girlfriend”

On the calendar of his calves, worthy of a “Greek God” according to the cover, the Englishman plays it with humor.

“Yes I know it, I even gave it to my girlfriend.

Asked about his penchant for parties during the holidays, he also assumes: “I like to go out, have fun, party, when it's the right time to do so.

I'm not going to lie to you by telling you that's not the case.

But even if people are very interested in this aspect of my life, my priority obviously remains football.

This is my passion.
