43/71 laps:

Verstappen keeps expanding his lead, Hamilton has no chance of catching up.

Meanwhile, Ocon and Bottas almost crashed, but the Finn was able to avert it at the last second!

The choice of tires on the track is a mixed bag - everyone is there.

But at Mercedes it becomes clear how much the two drivers fight with the tough ones.

38/71 laps:

Perez is getting closer and closer to Hamilton and could soon drive into the DRS window.

And Hamilton also complains over the radio that his hard tires don't feel as good as the mediums.

For the two Haas, on the other hand, it is a really sad race.

Only Latifi in the Williams drives slower than her.

33/71 laps:

Vettel is still running on his soft tires from the start - quite impressive, 33 laps now!

The two Red Bulls have to keep the medium tires as long as possible, Hamilton in the Mercedes switched to hard after his pit stop.

27/71 laps:

Good pit stop at Verstappen.

And the Dutchman is lucky!

He manages to get out of the pit exit ahead of both Ferraris.

Hamilton, meanwhile, leads the Grand Prix with teammate Russell in P2.

Perez overtook Leclerc in the Ferrari after his stop, the Red Bull is really strong at this track.

24/71 laps:

The first Red Bull comes into the pits.

But it looks like Perez drove into the pit lane too fast.

The race control looks at the incident surrounding the Mexican.

Verstappen has also been complaining about his tires for a few laps.

In a pit stop, however, he would come out right between the two Ferraris!

18/71 laps:

Albon drives a great race in his Williams.

He practically sticks Stroll to the rear.

Meanwhile, Gasly received a 5-second penalty for his incident with Stroll.

The Frenchman then has to sit it out during the pit stop.

Verstappen can further extend his lead on P1 and doesn't have to worry about Hamilton.

14/71 rounds:

Gasly and Stroll are still fighting.

The Frenchman pushes Stroll off the track in a curve.

The incident is already being discussed by race control.

Unfortunately, the two Haas are by far the slowest on the track!

Let's see if Schumacher can keep Canadian Laitifi behind for the rest of the race.

10/71 laps:

Stroll and Gasly have an exciting race for P15, which Stroll can decide in his favor after a small collision.

Mick Schumacher has meanwhile lost another place and is in P18.

The gap between Russell in the Mercedes and Sainz in the Ferrari is getting bigger!

Mexico GP in the live ticker: Mick falls far behind in the Haas, Vettel makes up a few places

7/71 laps:

Verstappen is already lonely doing his laps in P1, Hamilton does not manage to cover the distance under a second.

Vettel continues to fight his way through the midfield on P14 and Schumacher is still on P17.

Unfortunately, the two Ferraris didn't manage to close the gap to the Mercedes either.

1/71 laps:

What a start!

Max Verstappen with a great start.

Hamilton directly overtakes his team-mate in the first corner and is in P2, while Russell falls back to P4 behind Perez.

Sebastian Vettel gets off to a good start and gains two places, while Mick Schumacher loses two and ends up in P17.

Update from October 30, 8:56 p.m .:

The race in Mexico City is about to start!

Can Max Verstappen turn his pole into a win or maybe even his teammate Sergio Perez win in his home country?

What are the two silver arrows doing?

The formation lap will start in a few minutes.

Formula 1 in Mexico: races in Mexico City in the live ticker – problems with two teams

Update October 30, 8:39 p.m.:

The race starts in 15 minutes.

There was already the first shock for some teams.

Kevin Magnussen radioed that something had broken in the back of the car.

Apparently the gearbox was the problem.

Not everything went smoothly for the two McLarens either: Lando Norris' brake pedal moved too much and Daniel Ricciardo had to abandon his test start again because the temperatures were too high!

First report from October 30, 8:25 p.m.:

Mexico City – At Red Bull, one controversy follows the next.

Now the team around Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez has decided that they will boycott the Sky television channel.

The racing team does this because it does not agree with the reporting by Ted Kravitz, the British pit lane reporter.

They should feel treated unfairly.

Kravitz has recently said that Lewis Hamilton's title was stolen last year.

Of course, the Red Bull doesn't taste good at all.

At the press conference on Red Bull's budget overrun, Christian Horner was visibly annoyed by the questions from the Sky reporters.

The racing team even claimed that these reporters were goaded by Mercedes.

However, it is not the first time that a team has boycotted the Sky broadcaster.

Günther Steiner has not spoken to Sky Germany since the race in Azerbaijan.

In his opinion, the broadcaster would show one-sided reporting pro Schumacher and anti Haas.

Mexico GP in the live ticker: chance for Sergio Perez to win?

After Max Verstappen's title win and the triumph in the Constructors' Championship, Sergio Perez is coming into focus at Red Bull.

Motorsport boss Helmut Marko finally proclaimed two goals: In addition to the victory record for Verstappen, Perez should take second place in the drivers' championship.

The chances for that are not bad.

Only two points separate Perez (265) from Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc (267).

In addition, the shape is correct.

The 32-year-old was on the podium five times in a row, in Singapore for the second time this year on top - a highlight, although not comparable to his triumph in Monaco.

Another win “is of course the goal.

We want to get the most out of the weekend,” said Perez.

We'll see if that's possible from fourth place.

Formula 1: Mexico GP in the live ticker - Mick without a cockpit for the 2023 season?

Mick Schumacher does not currently have a plan B for his career: "Plan A is the only plan that counts for me at the moment, and that I want to and will pursue," he says in an interview.

The fact is: only one racing team has not yet decided who will get the second cockpit next year: Haas.

It's about his cockpit.

Team boss Günther Steiner had already promised a decision after the Mexican Grand Prix.

So that would be soon.

In Mexico, Steiner said: "In Abu Dhabi we want to know who will be driving our car next year." That is not so soon, but only in a good three weeks, the Formula 1 finale will take place on November 20th at the Yas Marina Circuit .

Steiner explained that whoever is the chosen one can also take the test after the final.

Schumacher's main competitor is his compatriot Nico Hulkenberg, who is twelve years his senior.
