Tennis player beaten by her father in practice (from Twitter)
A video of a father brutally beating his daughter after tennis practice has gone viral and now Novak Djokovic has been asked to help as the incident took place in Serbia.
According to reports, the Meccan father came with his 14-year-old daughter from China to Belgrade to train there.
The former soccer player, Igor Yurich, who has been very active against violence and abuse of minors since his daughter was murdered in 2014, published the shocking video and wrote: "Another brutal violence by a father against his daughter. I received information that this is a family from China. We will file a complaint with the police against this monster."
The former American tennis player, Pam Schreiber, whose record was ranked third in the world: "God, we have to report this and file a complaint. Maybe we should ask Novak Djokovic to help (she tagged him) behind the scenes. We need to work together to prevent such abuse."
Veteran tennis player Victoria Azarenka, who was ranked number 1 in the world in the past, watched the disturbing video herself and wrote: "I don't know who this man is, but what the hell? And why did people film this for so long and not intervene? Shame and shame, please make sure to report this man in the police".

Every story about abuse mentions Dukić (Photo: GettyImages)
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that the tennis world has come across stories of father-coaches abusing their daughters.
The unfortunate Jelena Dukic, who was considered a child prodigy and reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon at the age of 17 (in 2000), shared in recent years the trauma she bears following her father's continuous violence towards her when he was not satisfied with the way she was training.
The father, by the way, was imprisoned in 2009 because of another case of violence.
Last June, Dukić wrote a long post in which she said that she almost ended her life: "On April 28, I almost jumped off the balcony on the 26th floor and took my own life. I will never forget that day, everything was blurry, everything was dark. There was no sound, no image, Nothing makes sense, only tears, sadness, depression, anxiety and pain."
In 2017, two young British women complained of long-term physical and mental abuse by their father who served as their tennis coach.
The court acquitted the father, John D'Avila, because of the doubt.
The wonderful Marie Pierce, who won two Grand Slam titles (1995 Australia, 2000 Roland Garros), was subjected for years to physical and especially verbal violence from her father.
In 1993 she complained to the police and a restraining order was issued against him.
At that time he was also banned from WTA tournaments.
The German-Croatian Mirjana Lucic and the French Marion Bartoli and Erwan Rezai also told in the past about the abuse they suffered by their fathers when they were young.
