NFL: Christian McCaffrey scores touchdowns in three different ways

As a running back, Christian McCaffrey is actually responsible for carrying the ball into the opposing end zone. He proved that he's also excellent at catching and throwing when his 49ers defeated the LA Rams.

Catching a touchdown, running for a touchdown, and throwing a pass for a touchdown - Christian McCaffrey pulled off a very special feat in the NFL.

The San Francisco 49ers' new signing was man of the game in a 31-14 defeat of Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.

He was only the eleventh player in the history of the National Football League to achieve such a triad on Sunday (local time).

The last player with such a touchdown triple was LaDainian Tomlinson with the San Diego Chargers in 2005.

"That's great," said McCaffrey, who joined the 49ers from the Carolina Panthers just a few weeks ago.

"Of course, these things are cool, but the biggest success is that we come out of here with a win."

Particularly annoying for the Rams: They too had tried to get McCaffrey's services, but made the worse offer to the Panthers.

With just three wins from seven games, things are still not going well for the defending champions this season.

The 49ers, on the other hand, have at least a balanced record with four wins and four losses and are ahead of the Rams in second place in the NFC West.

In the final game of the day, the Buffalo Bills then clinched a convincing win over the Green Bay Packers.

The title favorite was never really in danger at 27:17, for the Packers around quarterback star Aaron Rodgers the season with five defeats in eight games is becoming more and more complicated and the playoff places are in danger.

The team last lost four games in a row in 2016.

Bankruptcies for German players

On the other hand, the Sunday games were again unpleasant for the German professionals.

Amon-Ra St. Brown was back on the field after suffering a concussion, the wide receiver also caught passes for 69 yards, but he still lost with the Detroit Lions to the Miami Dolphins 27-31.

The Lions are at 1:6 wins and are the weakest team in the league.

For Brown's brother Equanimeous and the Chicago Bears (3:5) there was nothing to get at 29:49 at the Dallas Cowboys.

St. Brown was only used briefly and caught a pass for six yards space gain.

Fullback Jakob Johnson is playing in the biggest disappointment of the season: The Stuttgarter has two wins and five losses with the previously highly traded Las Vegas Raiders after a 0:24 loss at the New Orleans Saints.
