Injured France midfielder Paul Pogba has withdrawn from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, his lawyer and agent Rafaela Pimenta announced in a statement sent to AFP on Monday.
“After medical examinations yesterday (Sunday) and today (Monday), it is extremely painful to inform that Paul Pogba will still need rehabilitation after his operation (of a knee at the beginning of September).
For this reason, Paul will not be able to join (…) the France team in Qatar,” Rafaela Pimenta said in a statement.
