ESC wins 5: 3 in Erding: "The boys have torn themselves"

the Geretsrieder River Rats got the first three on Sunday in Erding.
Erding/Geretsried – Progress could already be seen in the 3:5 home defeat against TEV Miesbach on Friday, and on Sunday evening the Geretsried ice hockey team made the debut of new coach Hans Tauber jun.

"We seamlessly followed up on Friday's performance," said the 37-year-old.
“The boys have literally torn themselves apart.
Everyone wanted this win.”
Although the guests had to do without four top performers (Morczinietz, Merl, Berger, Heigl), they scored the opening goal after twelve minutes through Florian Strobl.
The home side didn't want to let that sit and turned the game around until the first break with goals from Sebastian Busch and Roni Rukarjärvi.
The second section, however, belonged to the River Rats.
Ondrej Horvath equalized 2-2 (27');
then Josef Reiter (32nd) in the majority and Marek Haloda (37th) extended the lead to 4:2.
"We combined well, put a lot of pressure on and didn't let Erding come into play much," said Tauber.
In the final third, the hosts increased the pressure again.
Again Rukarjärvi brought TSV up to 3:4 (47th), but five minutes later Xaver Hochstraßer scored to make it 5:3 for ESC.
"It was an open exchange of blows, but we deservedly defended the three-pointer," said the coach.
