Throwing flares in the Tel Aviv derby (Sport1)
The Supreme Court of the Football Association convened today (Wednesday) to discuss the appeals filed by Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv over the punishments they received following the derby events.
The hearing was chaired by Amnon Strashnov, and at the end of it, it was decided to reject the requests, and leave the punishments as they were.
The reds were punished in three games without an audience and in a radius game, while the yellows were punished in three games in which gates 10-11 in Bloomfield will be closed.
Hapoel Tel Aviv has already started to serve the punishment and hosted Kiryat Shmona in front of empty stands.
Maccabi Tel Aviv's punishment will begin on Saturday, in a match against Sektia Nes Ziona.
Maccabi Tel Aviv was represented in the appeal by CEO Sharon Tamm and legal advisor Yael Margalit. From Hapoel Tel Aviv came owner Sharon Nisanov, attorney Roi Rosen and CEO Odalia Friedman, who will finish her position in the near future.

"We fear that there will be no escape from a significantly more severe punishment, to the point of reducing points and stopping activity," the judges concluded.
It is also written that "but by a miracle the massive use of these means (smoke grenades and pyrotechnic means) did not end in injury to the soul.
