FC Bayern is currently not only the best team in the Champions League in terms of sport, but also financially the Munich team is number one.
Munich - 18 points from six games in the Champions League?
After the group stage, FC Bayern is the ultimate sport in Europe.
No team has such a clean slate in the preliminary round as the German record champions - and that in this hammer group with the heavyweights FC Barcelona and Inter Milan.
On Tuesday evening, Julian Nagelsmann's team impressively underlined the exceptional sporting position in the premier class.
The Italian champions were defeated 2-0 (1-0) in the Allianz Arena in what was actually an insignificant final group game, sending another exclamation mark to Europe.
One scene in particular was discussed: Sadio Mané's handball.

But Bayern not only enjoy their exceptional position in sport, the group stage has also been more than worth it economically.
The Champions League is proving to be a real gold mine for FC Bayern this season as well.
With 78.42 million euros, the Munich team was the premium winner among the 32 participating clubs.
On top of that!
As the competition progresses, the 2020 CL winner should once again surpass the 100 million euro mark.
A place in the quarter-finals would bring in a further 10.6 million euros from the UEFA prize pool in the new year.
In addition, there is already the audience revenue from at least four home games as well as a presumably double-digit million amount from the market pool.
Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic will already be rubbing his hands on Säbener Straße.

But before we can talk about the quarter-finals, the round of 16 of the premier class will be drawn next Monday.
There, Munich could meet Liverpool, who only finished second in their group.
