Al-Wahda team won the second edition of the Basketball Super Cup after defeating Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly of Aleppo by withdrawing the latter from the final match that brought them together today at Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
The referee of the match proved the result of Al-Wahda's victory before the end of the third quarter, after the withdrawal of Al-Ahly, who objected to the referees' performance.
Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly Aleppo and Al-Wehda qualified for the final match after the first beat Al-Jaish with a score of 69-57 points, and the second against Al-Karama with a score of 78-64 points, in the semi-finals.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly Aleppo team won the Super Cup title in its first edition last year, after defeating Al-Wahda with a score of 60-52 points.
