The SG Barockstadt has brought in the fourth home win in the Regionalliga Südwest.

Thanks to a late goal by captain Patrick Schaaf, SGB won the Hessen duel 2-1 (1-1) against FSV Frankfurt.

The SG Barockstadt started with two changes compared to the 1:2 at Stuttgart II.

Captain Patrick Schaaf returned to the starting XI after the joy of the birth of his second child, and coach Sedat Gören sent Will Siakam into the race.

At FSV Frankfurt, coach Tim Görner relied on the eleven from the 3-0 win in Koblenz, only captain Ahmed Azaouagh moved back into the starting eleven.

FSV Frankfurt got off to a flying start at SG Barockstadt

The Hessian duel in the Regionalliga Südwest got off to a flying start.

FSV Frankfurt played forward from the kick-off and after eleven seconds Cas Peters pushed a cross over the line.

The guests initially seemed sure of the ball, but the SG Barockstadt quickly shook the shock out of their clothes.

After only nine minutes, the SGB was able to show four corners - all of them dangerous and kicked by Pomnitz - and after the fourth corner kick Eric Ganime scored from around eight meters to equalize.

Both teams then neutralized each other and did a lot of work in midfield.

Only after half an hour did things become more eventful again: Löbig's shot just missed the post (31'), on the other side SGB cleared in a closed five (32').

) and FSV keeper Omer Hanin brilliantly parried Aaron Frey's shot from the edge of the penalty area (34').

The baroque city-dwellers could have gone into the lead at half-time and given Ganime a brace, but the ex-Neuhofer only hit the crossbar with his long leg after a Pomnitz free-kick from half-field (39').

SG Barockstadt: Marius Grösch fails from the penalty spot, captain Patrick Schaaf with a lucky punch

The SG Barockstadt was the more active team before the break, but changed after the restart.

FSV Frankfurt earned several corner balls.

It took a good quarter of an hour before the brats-elf was back in the game.

And how!

Substitute Dominik Wüst was clumsily fouled by FSV striker Peters in the penalty area.

A sure hit for regular penalty taker Marius Grösch?

Not at all.

The central defender wanted to chip the ball in the middle, but Hanin had smelled the rat (65th).

The hosts were now more gripping, Frey was blocked and Frankfurt could hardly come close to the penalty area.

However, there was hardly anything to suggest a threesome for the Fulda-Lehnerzer team before Captain Schaaf made it 2-1.

Hillmann extended a cross and Schaaf put all his energy into the shot.

2:

1 – Hanin didn't look good doing it (85').

The SGB defended everything from then on, the FSV complained in minute 90 hand penalties when three or four baroque townsfolk threw themselves into a shot.
