ESC Dorfen: Four goals conceded after seven minutes

There was probably a lot to note for ESC trainer Franz Steer in Ulm.

The Ice Pirates lose 7-3 to the Ulm Blitzstarters.

– With a four-goal deficit after just over seven minutes, it looked like a debacle.
In the end, ESC Dorfen did quite well in the 3:7 (0:4, 1:1, 2:2) defeat at VfE Ulm/Neu-Ulm.
With the exception of Fabio Lauffer, who is needed in the U20s, the squad made the journey to Neu/Ulm on Friday.
There are no miracle cures, so continue "without nine" from the regular squad.
The roles of underdog and favorite were quickly taken.
On Friday in Miesbach, Ulm/Neu-Ulm forced the leaders of the table into extra time and then had to give in 3:4.

After goals from Dominik Synek and again from Döring, Andreas Marek saved the powerless Max Englbrecht between the posts in the 6:02 minute of the game.
He was in there for a good minute before he had to swallow the next goal scored by Marius Dörner.
That was how it was at the break, because Ulm had slowed down a bit too.
The Devils didn't let Döring's third goal take away a double advantage to make it 5-0.
The Ice Pirates were now also in the raffle and defender Maximilian Huber, who had been converted into an attacker, scored his first goal of the season.
But you couldn't really challenge the hosts yet.
After all, the second third was not lost and then defender Benedikt Dietrich scored after three minutes of the final section to make it 2:5.
You should never write off the ice pirates too early.
There were just under four minutes to play when Huber scored to make it 3:5.

The ESC was also in the lead when it came to penalties, and Döring used the last one to make it 7:3.
