The Houston Astros won the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series.
The team from Texas used their first match point directly in front of their home crowd on Saturday evening (local time) in the sixth game with a 4-1 win against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The series went 4-2 to the Astros.
It is the second title for the Astros since 2017.
In the sixth inning, Yordan Álvarez made the decision with a spectacular home run.
"I just tried to stay calm and get a good pitch, and I did that," said the Cuban. "It was incredible.
As I rounded second base, I felt the whole stadium move.”
After their first triumph five years ago, the Astros had emerged from the World Series as losers three more times.
The 73-year-old Astros manager Dusty Baker, a coach for a quarter of a century, had never won the World Series.
With a previous 2093 wins, he was the most successful non-championship manager.
Houston is viewed critically by many baseball fans
At 73, Baker became the oldest coach to win a championship in one of North America's four major sports leagues.
'What's next?
I said if I win one, I want to win a second," Baker said after his first title in 25 years as a Major League Baseball head coach.
Astros pro Jeremy Pena, on the other hand, not only won the title in his first season, but was also voted the third rookie most valuable player in a World Series.
It's the Astros' second title after 2017, when the team was found to have cheated, and has been viewed with great scrutiny by many baseball fans ever since.
But even after the scandal and some personal consequences and penalties, the Astros remained successful in sport and have reached at least the finals of the American League every year since then.
After two lost World Series recently, the second triumph was achieved.
