For the first time after his skin cancer became known, Manuel Neuer from FC Bayern spoke about his diagnosis.

The national goalkeeper tells where exactly he got the cancer.

Munich – Manuel Neuer is back.

The FC Bayern goalkeeper celebrated his comeback after weeks of injury in the 3: 2 (3: 2) of Munich at Hertha BSC.

A persistent bruised shoulder joint had forced the 36-year-old national goalkeeper to watch seven competitive games - not just in the Bundesliga.

In Berlin he promptly convinced again.

Remarkably casual and in typical Neuer manner, he lobbed the ball over Wilfried Kanga from Hertha in one scene.

Previously, the 2014 world champion was not only in the headlines because of his injury, but also because he publicized a previous cancer.

According to his own statements, the resident of Tegernsee has already had three operations for skin cancer on his face.

In an interview this weekend, he spoke about how he processed and felt the diagnosis.

You have a lot of respect and also a little fear.

“You have a lot of respect and also a bit of fear.

But if the dermatologist enlightens you and tells you how to proceed, your fears will be taken away.

It's important to be enlightened and to know why you should put on lotion in the fresh air, even if it's cloudy or you're skiing in winter," he explained to the

and said: "As a child, I didn't take it that way serious.

I swindled my parents when they asked if I had sunscreen on.

Of course I wasn't.

Anyway, I'm glad it was discovered and I know what's next, because it's also not a very nice area on the face next to the nose where I was operated on."

You have to “continue to watch it in the mirror and see if there are any changes.

I have to go to the dermatologist every six months, for a kind of follow-up check and prevention at the same time, because you can't see everything on your body," he said.

, Neuer also gave advice to his fans: "It's better to ask doctors or confidants again.

We both want to enlighten.

If you see something unusual in someone, then say it calmly, talk to the people, especially in team sports.

If someone has a weird spot, then it's better to say something more than not to speak to someone.

You shouldn't be shy about that."

Nothing now stands in the way of an assignment at the World Cup in Qatar (November 20 to December 18).

Before that, he has to play with Bayern at Werder Bremen this Tuesday (8:30 p.m.).

His relief at being back in the box was palpable on the pitch in the capital.
