350 professional cyclists, 20 of them from eight countries around the world, set out tomorrow (Monday) for the "Wheels of Love" bicycle journey, which is celebrating its 22nd year and will be held in the north of the country.
Guy Niv, Israel's cycling champion and the first Israeli to participate in the Tour de France, is participating in the journey for the fifth year.
During the four days of the journey, each rider will pedal an average of close to 400 km, all for the purpose of raising donations totaling NIS 14 million to balance the budget of Eli'an Hospital, the only rehabilitation institution in Israel for children that is considered among the leaders in its field in the world, whose budget was severely damaged as a result of the Corona epidemic .
The hospital is recognized as an association that is not supported by the government and is in immediate need of donations.
