Christoph Kramer was in the starting eleven in the 2014 World Cup final.
However, he himself rules out participating in the World Cup again - the national coach does not rely on him.
Mönchengladbach – He was the tragic figure with a happy ending: Christoph Kramer suddenly received the order from Jogi Löw to stop Lionel Messi in the World Cup final.
But before he knew it, his assignment was over: he suffered a concussion in a collision and had to get out.
He was still allowed to celebrate the world championship title.
As a result, he played no role in the national team for a long time.
In the current season, with strong performances in the newly discovered tenth position, he has made himself a candidate for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
But he is now putting an end to these speculations himself.

"But we can tick that off now, I'm definitely only there as a TV expert." The 31-year-old plays no role in the plans of national coach Hansi Flick, as he himself confirmed.

Contrary to media reports to the contrary, he was not on Flick's 55 squad list.
The competition in central midfield was simply too great.
Had Kramer been a striker, he probably would have had a better chance of being nominated.
In this position, the DFB team is quite slack after Timo Werner had to pull out of the Qatar World Cup due to injury.

Niclas Füllkrug and Youssoufa Moukoko have a good chance of a flick call, and a native of Berchtesgaden is also in the raffle.
Kramer still travels to Qatar, but in the service of the TV station ZDF.
Together with fellow world champions Per Mertesacker and Sami Khedira and others, he acts as an expert alongside the moderators.
