Nyon - Five Bundesliga clubs took part in the Champions League group stage this season, four of them are in the first knockout round.
FC Bayern are the only German group winners to meet a runner-up, while BVB, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt all have difficult tasks ahead of them.
The round of 16 games will be drawn at 12 noon in the House of European Football in Nyon on Lake Geneva.

Nothing changes in the mode.
As always, only teams from different associations are allowed to meet in the round of 16, so a German duel is not possible.
Also in the round of the last sixteen no preliminary round opponents are allowed to face each other.
In the first and second leg, a group winner meets a second, the group winner has to play away first.

Due to the rules of the draw, Bayern can only meet four of the eight teams from pot two.
Without the three other Bundesliga clubs and group opponents Inter Milan, FC Bruges, AC Milan and the two tough players PSG and FC Liverpool are left.

Borussia Dortmund, currently fourth in the Bundesliga, could meet Real Madrid or Chelsea, while RB Leipzig will avoid a round of 16 against the defending champions thanks to the group duels.
Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt could also meet Real and Chelsea, but the Hessians could also be drawn to title favorites Manchester City.

It won't be played until the new year.
The round of 16 first legs will take place on February 14th and 15th and 21st and 22nd, with the crucial second legs scheduled for March 7th and 8th and 14th and 15th.
The aim of all 16 remaining teams is the final, which will take place on June 10, 2023 in Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
But until then, many hurdles have to be overcome.
