Just over 600 days separate us from the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. And already, souvenirs are on sale in the capital.
The organizing committee of the competition opened, this Monday, November 14, from 10 a.m. and in all discretion, its first official store, on the surface of Les Halles, at 5 bis, rue Pierre-Lescot, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.
With, in its shelves, various official objects marked with the five rings and the Olympic flame.
Under the famous canopy, the shop has moved into an 80 m² room.
A security guard has taken up his post at the entrance in anticipation of possible flows of visitors.
But on this inaugural day, there are no crowds.
It must be said that the news had curiously not been leaked.

The mascot of the Games is revealed
A few onlookers still slow down in front of the window, some stop there, starting with Olivier, in his fifties.
“I bought two gourds there, one for me, I do a lot of sports, and another that I intend to give as a gift to a friend”, comments, smiling, this Parisian.
“I treated myself to a Games t-shirt”
A couple succeeds him at the checkout a few minutes later while the store is still receiving deliveries.
They took advantage of this Friday, November 11 holiday to spend a few days in the capital and are preparing to board a train to Montpellier (Hérault), where they live.
"I had fun with a Games t-shirt," enthuses one of the two.
We hope to participate in the Paris 2024 marathon. For that, we are waiting for the draw of the bibs!

On the shelves of the store, Eiffel towers in the colors of the Olympic competition triumph above mugs with various visuals, all flocked with a "Paris 2024".
Same for magnets, key rings, caps and even sunglasses.
An important place is also given to textiles, including the official collection of Paris 2024 as well as t-shirts and sweatshirts in collaboration with the French brand Le Coq Sportif are on sale.
Also unveiled this Monday at the headquarters of the Cojo (Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games), the official mascots of the two Olympic and Paralympic competitions – red in color and in the shape of a Phrygian cap – will have the right to their declination in soft toys.
These will, in turn, be put on sale this week in the same shop.
