The French team loses Christopher Nkunku, Leipzig striker, who was injured in training last Tuesday and has seen his World Cup participation end before it begins.
The attacker collided with Real Madrid player Camavinga in a fortuitous action and after undergoing medical tests, the French team issued a statement explaining that Nkunku will not be able to be in the World Cup and is leaving the camp due to a sprained knee.
His place will be taken by another striker who plays in German soccer, Randal Kolo Muani, from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Injuries are punishing the reigning world champion.
Nkunku's recent loss joins those of Kimpembe, Pogba, Kanté and Maignan, four other very important players in Didier Deschamps' scheme who will not be able to be in Qatar.
The Frenchmen are framed in group D, together with Australia, Denmark and Tunisia.
Christopher Nkunku signed 20 goals and 13 assists in the Bundesliga last season and his numbers are even better this season with 12 goals in 15 games.
Deschamps loses one more threat to add to a very talented attack, with Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé as the main offensive references.
Despite the fact that France had already given the final list of 26 for the World Cup, FIFA has allowed the change after Nkunku's knee sprain.
Kolo Muani will leave the tour of Japan in which he was with Eintracht and will join the French team this Thursday, so he will be available to the French coach for the first game against Australia, on Tuesday, November 22.
Kolo Muani is 23 years old.
He has played only 12 minutes with the France team divided into two games and his debut took place on September 22.
He has had a good start to the season at his club, Eintracht Frankfurt, with whom he has played 23 games and has scored eight goals: five in the Bundesliga, two in the Champions League and one in the German Cup.
The list of important casualties for the World Cup continues to increase a few days before the start.
Outside of France, other players like Giovanni Lo Celso (Argentina), Reece James (England), Giorginio Wijnaldum (Netherlands) or Timo Werner (Germany) will not be able to make it to the World Cup due to injury.
