Real Madrid football club striker Karim Benzema was crowned the best player in the world for the year 2022 at the Dubai Globe Soccer ceremony.
Benzema outperformed Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Liverpool star, and Norwegian Erling Haaland, Manchester City striker.
The Spanish club, Real Madrid, was also crowned the best club award after winning four titles, led by the European Champions League, after strong competition with the English clubs Liverpool and Manchester City.
Carlo Ancelotti was crowned the best coach in 2022 after the distinguished results he presented with Real Madrid during the season, most notably the Champions League and La Liga doubles.
Florentino Perez, Real Madrid's president, won the best club president award, as the royal club continued its domination of the ceremony's awards.
