What are the dates for the 2022 World Cup?
The competition takes place from November 20 to December 18, 2022, in Qatar.
A very unusual period for a football World Cup.
What is the competition phase schedule?
The 2022 World Cup kicks off on Sunday November 20 with the opening ceremony at 4 p.m., followed by the match between host country Qatar and Ecuador at 5 p.m.
The first match of the French team, defending champion, takes place on Tuesday November 22, at 8 p.m. against the Australian team.
The group stage is only played over 13 days, with no less than 4 matches played per day.

It ends on December 2.
So follow the round of 16, from December 3 to 6, and the quarters on December 9 and 10.
The semi-finals will take place on December 13 and 14, and finally, the long-awaited final will take place on December 18.
Where will the World Cup matches take place?
The matches will be played in 8 stadiums: Education City Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Stadium 974, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium and Khalifa International Stadium, and in 5 different cities: Doha, Lusail, Al -Khor, Al-Rayvan, Al-Wakrah.
The final will take place in the Lusail Stadium in the new town of Lusail.
