A blow to the organization working to boycott the state: all 11 teams that will participate in the glittering chess competition on the side of Israel have landed in Israel and will take part in it, starting on Sunday and for a week.
It should be noted that FIDA, the World Chess Federation, did not even respond to the letter sent to it with a demand to move the championship from Jerusalem.
The championship will take place between November 20-25 in Jerusalem, with the Ministry of Culture and Sports led by Minister Hili Trooper and the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Minister of Housing - Ze'ev Elkin giving the impetus for the event to be held in Israel at the budgetary level as well.
It should be noted that the attempts in recent weeks on behalf of the BDS organization, which works to boycott Israel, to convince some of the national teams to cancel their arrival in Israel for the World Chess Championship, were not successful at all.
All 11 national teams that will participate alongside Israel in the most prestigious competition in the industry not only landed in Israel as usual, they did not pay any attention to the requirements sent on behalf of the BDS and the championship, which will open tomorrow (Sunday) and close on Friday, will be held with a full lineup of all the participants.
The organization that calls for putting pressure on Israel through an economic, academic and cultural boycott suffered another blow for it after FIDA - the World Chess Federation - did not even respond to a letter sent to it earlier this month by the BDS with a demand to move the championship from Jerusalem.

Besides the host Israel, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, India, South Africa, China, Spain, France, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Poland and the world's 1st ranked country today - the USA, also came to Israel. In fact, countries from four different continents will gather for the championship: Asia, Europe, America and Africa.
The Israeli team was placed in the same house with the Olympic champion Uzbekistan, the bronze medalist from the same Olympics India, ranked 1st in the world today the USA and also the national teams of Poland and Azerbaijan.
The meaning: challenging, but also attractive games, when Israel will meet head to head already in the early stage the American Hans Nieman, who recently made headlines everywhere possible and is rightly considered the "most talked about chess player in the world".
In the second house, the national teams of China, France, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain and Ukraine were placed.
The first four from each house will qualify for the quarterfinals.
The games will start next Sunday and will be held in a relatively fast format to the regular game - 45 minutes per game - in order to complete two games a day.
