TV commentator Wolff Fuss arrived with a delay before the opening match of the World Cup at the Al-Bait Stadium in Chaur.
"The bus driver didn't know the way," said Fuss amused at the beginning of the broadcast of the duel between hosts Qatar and Ecuador.
Fuss was in a bus with part of the Magenta TV crew in front of the gates of the arena long before kick-off.
Then the driver was "five kilometers in the wrong direction," said the journalist.
The 46-year-old Fuss only arrived at the stadium during the opening ceremony and took the delay with humor.
He arrived at his commentator position in good time before kick-off.
"When Morgan Freeman came, we marched in here by the sweat of our brow," Wolff said.
Magenta TV will broadcast all 64 games at this World Cup.
48 games are also shown by the public broadcasters ARD and ZDF.
