The Syrian rider, Shadi Gharib, came third in the Grand Prix show jumping competition of the Abu Dhabi International Championship, classified in the category of (four stars), which is one of the qualifying rounds for the World Cup.
Gharib came third after finishing the final round of the higher hurdles, whose hurdles were 150 cm high, recording a time of 48.49 seconds.
On its first day, the competition witnessed the knight Osama Zbibi winning the first place at a height of 130 cm, while the knight Laith Gharib won the fourth place at a height of 120 cm, while the knight Majd Al-Din Bandakji won the second place at a height of 115 cm.
On the second day, the rider Sabri Bandakji won the first place for the youth category with a height of 120 cm, and the rider Laith Gharib came fourth, while the knight Osama Zbibi won the third place with a height of 130 cm, and the rider Shadi Gharib came third with a height of 145 cm.
As for the third day, the rider, Sabri Bendakji, won the first and third places for the youth category, for a height of 120 cm.
It is noteworthy that the tournament witnessed the participation of more than 100 knights of all categories, representing several countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Bulgaria, Britain and South Africa, in addition to Syrian knights.
