The nice run with ten points from the last four games is history again at FC Ismaning.

With a rather dismal 0:2 (0:1) against TSV 1860 Munich II, the FCI said goodbye to their own fans in the last home game of the year.

Ismaning

- It's a popular saying in the Bayernliga that you want to play men's football against the secondary representatives of the professional clubs.

This means that experienced footballers with physical robustness buy the guts from the young and technically perfectly trained.

This idea failed this time alone because of the opposing coach Frank Schmöller.

He is not only the most successful coach in the history of the Ismaninger club, but also the epitome of men's football.

This time the Cubs wore the pants.

The Ismaninger coach Mijo Stijepic didn't want to make it easy for himself and simply justified the defeat with the opponent's class that day.

"Maybe we just allowed too much," said the coach, not without reason pointing out "that one or the other didn't have their best day with us".

Recently, his Ismaningers had made life more difficult for their opponents, and this time the youngsters from the Sixties found good solutions.

Something characteristic of the game was the emergence of the 0:1 after half an hour.

The lions were able to head a shot from FCI goalkeeper Lorenz Becherer forward again on the center line without any pressure – and with the quick transition, the FCI was completely wrong-footed.

After the goal (30th), the guest had the upper hand against a threateningly wobbling Ismaninger, and with two super saves in one against one, Becherer prevented a preliminary decision until the break.

In this balanced Bavarian league, every team always has chances, and even in this not so galactic Ismaninger kick there were moments to get on track.

In the first half, Daniel Gaedke headed to the bottom edge of the bar and just missed the equalizer (40').

The second chance after just under an hour was even more dramatic.

FCI had a corner, the extended ball came to Rufus Roth, who stood a meter in front of the goal and shot over it.

"It was harder than shooting into the goal," ex-striker Stijepic later rightly remarked.

So then everything went its normal course of things.

Ismaning increased the risk from behind - and the Löwen waited for the counterattack, got it and scored the goal in the 72nd minute through Kevin Goden.

The team that was better that day also won the game and now everyone is slowly looking forward to the winter break.
