Holder of the big crystal globe, Shiffrin was ahead of the Swiss Wendy Holdener by 28 hundredths and the Slovak Olympic champion Petra Vlhova by 68 hundredths.

", explained the champion at the microphone of the International Ski Federation (FIS), when she had achieved the best time of the first track for a few only hundredths ahead of several of its competitors.
Winner of the general classification of the World Cup for the fourth time in the spring, but frustrated by the failed Olympic Games in February in Beijing (3 outings, no medal), Mikaela Shiffrin has managed the perfect start to the season with two victories in two days.
The women's opening giant in Sölden (Austria) was canceled at the end of October due to rainfall, before three successive competition weekends (2 in Zermatt/Cervinia, 1 in Lech) were canceled due to lack of snow.
Behind Shiffrin, Holdener climbed on her thirtieth World Cup podium in slalom but still has no victory, an unfortunate record partly due to the American's bulimia for success.
At only 27 years old, Shiffrin signed his 76th World Cup success on Sunday and is approaching the absolute record of Swede Ingemar Stenmark (86) and the total of his compatriot Lindsey Vonn (82).
