The 92 derby among basketball players, the rugby Supersevens at the Paris Défense Arena, the narrow victory of PSG handball players: sport

Since last season, "Le Parisien" has been reporting every weekend on all the results and highlights of sporting events involving clubs in the Île-de-France region.

The 92 derby for Boulogne-Levallois

BASKETBALL.

It was obviously the event this Sunday evening in Levallois: the derby of the basketball players of 92 between the Mets and Nanterre.

This derby has always been sold out.

This is even more the case when Victor Wembanyama is in the field: all the places at the Marcel-Cerdan sports hall were sold out in less than 15 minutes several weeks ago.

The 92 Mets started the game with a 15-0 that pointed to a one-sided game.

But it was bad to know Nanterre which has caught up little by little, quietly.

The derby became breathless but it still tipped in favor of the locals (92-85) who, with this success, took the lead of the Betclic Elite.

Earlier in the day, Paris Basketball won in a match that did not lack points 115-110 in Roanne.

PSG wins on the wire

HANDBALL.

If we still doubted it, there is no easy match in Starligue.

PSG almost paid the price on Friday during their short trip to Chartres.

The champions of France are imposed by only one goal.

They are at the top of the standings with Nantes and Montpellier with a favorable goal average is officially in the lead.

Ivry drank the cup in front of Nîmes and Créteil only plays this Monday evening against Cesson-Rennes.

In Proligue, the Tremblay - Massy derby turned to the advantage of the locals and Pontault had all the trouble in the world to get the better of Frontignan.

Monaco champion of France...of rugby

RUGBY.

Monaco was crowned French rugby sevens champion thanks to its victory against Pau (24-14) on Saturday at La Défense Arena in the final of the Supersevens, a competition between professional clubs.

It is the third team, after Racing 92 and the Barbarians, to put its name on the list of winners of this tournament launched in 2020 by the National Rugby League (LNR).

Racing, at home, finished on the podium again this year after beating Stade Français (28-14) in a derby-like match for third place.

Sixteen teams in total participate each year in the Supersevens: the 14 clubs of the Top 14 and two "guests", Monaco and the Barbarians.
