Turbulent final minutes make VfR Garching tremble

After the disappointing 1:2 at table neighbors Dachau 65, VfR Garching showed the hoped-for reaction and celebrated a 2:1 (2:1) home win against FC Deisenhofen.

Although you wobbled menacingly at first, there was a 2-1 (2-1) home win against FC Deisenhofen.

With that, the Garchinger have finally set themselves apart from the last three teams of the Bayernliga Süd and can look up in the table.

The Garching coach Nico Basta does not have the squad to react to bad performances - like recently in Dachau - with big changes in the starting XI.

Against Deisenhofen he reacted with internal changes: Riccardo Basta (central defender) and Mike Niebauer (six) swapped places and Quentin Kehl moved from the right back to the left front.

In the first quarter of an hour that brought absolutely nothing.

Deisenhofen switched quickly after winning the ball, had three top chances and almost logically took the lead (13th).

However, VfR was served the return to the game on a golden platter.

A back pass was too short and he also starved due to the deep, difficult-to-play ground.

After the equalizer, Garching had to survive the next phase of pressure from the guests and then responded with a class goal.

After a chip ball, Mike Niebauer took the ball at full risk and sank it into the bottom right corner (40').

This half-time lead was a bit flattering for Garching.

After the change of sides, Deisenhofen had to come, play the game and no longer had those moments of surprise.

Garching's defense was very stable and only allowed a little, and now they earned the lead against the Deisenhofners, who had already left planned points with a 0-0 draw at the last Rosenheim last week.

Deisenhofen had to take maximum risks, with the result that the Garching team were always free from the center line.

There was also an offside decision, in which Garching started in their own half.

But even so, the Garchinger had enough situations that should have brought 3:1 or 4:1 better played out.

A lob from 40 meters by Mark Zettl (65th) could have closed the sack, but the ball flew past the empty goal.

So the great shaking came again.

In stoppage time, Deisenhofen had three shots from a corner kick, one of which was very tight.

In the next few minutes, things got turbulent in the Garching penalty area, but VfR shook the three home.

All in all, a deserved win, with which Garching definitely made amends for Dachau's 2-1 defeat.
