Despite the large investment in security to ensure the safety of fans and journalists at the World Cup in Qatar, we are already running into unpleasant situations at the host of the World Cup.
Dominique Metzger, an Argentinian journalist who covered the tournament, recently revealed that she was robbed while broadcasting live from Doha.
She made the incident public on social media, reporting that she was the victim of a robbery while conducting a live broadcast in the fan concourse area.
Many of her personal belongings were stolen including her purse, which contained many important documents such as her ID card.
She told about the experience live on television: "My wallet was just stolen while we were on the live broadcast. The police sent me here to file a report.
The documents and tickets are what worry me the most, I don't care about the rest.
These are experiences you don't expect to go through, you live through them."
Dominique also recorded herself reporting the incident to the police via her Instagram account.
The authorities promised to return all the lost items to the journalist.
The police also asked her what she wanted the thief's charge to be in case they found him.
After the robbery of his wallet en plena cobertura del Mundial Qatar 2022, the journalist Dominique Metzger told that the Police assured him that he was going to recover his documents and asked him what penalty he preferred for the thief.
