The show which marks the start of the tournament was held at the Al Bayt stadium in Al-Khor.

The American actor spoke with a Qatari Youtuber before leaving the spotlight to the mascot Footix and Jungkook, the South Korean singer of BTS.
From now on, the spectacle will be provided by the footballers until the final on December 18.
1. 98 World Champion Marcel Desailly presented the World Cup trophy to the audience at Al-Bayt Stadium.

The mascots of previous editions made a detour to Qatar, among them the French rooster of the 1998 World Cup.

6. The mascots of the older generations passed the baton to La'eeb, which represents a keffiyeh, a traditional Arab headdress.

7. While Dua Lipa or Rod Stewart refused to sing for Qatar, Jungkook, the singer of BTS ensured the show.
