After their first away win of the season against the Houston Rockets, the Warriors rested Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, and paid dearly for it against the surprising opponent so far.
Brandon Ingram scored a season-high 34 points to lead the winning team, with Zion Williamson returning from a three-game absence to play just 24 minutes, and the New Orleans Pelicans beat the undermanned Golden State Warriors 123-83.

"It was a game for the young guys to get a chance to play and it was a tough night," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
"New Orleans played really well."
Jordan Paul scored 26 points for Golden State, which lost 28 balls while dropping to a 1:9 road record.
Milwaukee (4:12) - Portland (7:10) 111:119
Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks recovered against the Portland Blazers and went 1:9 at home this season.
An excellent second half led by the Greek star (19 of his 37 points in the third quarter) and Jrue Holiday (13 of his 17 points in the final quarter) did the job, handing the Blazers their third straight loss, still without the injured Damian Lillard.
For the Trail Blazers, Anferni Simmons who scored 29 points and Jeremy Grant with 18 excelled.
"Against Giannis it's always going to be a tough night," Simmons said.
"It's so hard to guard him. You need the whole five to guard him."
Chicago (10:7) - Boston (4:13) 107:121
The streak of the Celtics was interrupted tonight.
After 9 consecutive victories in the best league in the world, Jayson Tatum and his friends stopped tonight against the Bulls.
DeMar DeRozan with 28 points and Zach LeVine shot from everywhere on the floor and did not give Boston a chance on a night of 14 three-pointers at almost 50 percent.
For the loser, Tatum appeared with 28 points and 11 rebounds, but even a good game by Jaylen Brown (25) and Malcolm Brogdon (23) was not enough for the Celtics.
Chicago, who started the season disappointingly, delivered an excellent game in which they led almost the entire way, and will want to continue the excellent momentum against Milwaukee.
