Hapoel Haifa announced today (Wednesday) the signing of American center Sean Jones.
Jones (30, 2.03 m), whose candidacy for the team was first published in Israel Hayom, is coming to his third term in Israel after already playing for Hapoel Jerusalem (2016-2017) and Hapoel Holon (2018-2019).
He started the past season in the Polish league where he averaged 14.3 points, 8.6 rebounds in 28.9 minutes average, in 8 games.
Due to the expected load for the Reds from Carmel for continued participation in the league and in Europe, Jones arrives as the club's fifth foreigner this season and not at the expense of one of the existing foreigners.
The team's coach, Sharon Drucker, commented on his signing: "Sean comes as an addition to the senior positions and will give us more depth to the existing squad and will help us a lot in the Eurocup."
In the league, this will allow us to share the load among the foreigners.'
