The Japanese national team will only take the field today (Wednesday) in the 2022 World Cup, in a match against Germany, but already its fans have made headlines: in a video that has gone viral, they are seen cleaning the stands in a game that even their national team did not take part in, as they did in previous World Cups.

Japanese fans stayed long after the games to pick up trash, including food wrappers and bottles left behind, and appeared to be putting it in large trash bags.
In addition, they even picked up crumpled Qatari and Ecuadorian flags from the ground and held them with respect after the opening match between the two sides.
The Japanese said both flags "require respect".
The video received hundreds of thousands of likes and shares.
The person who filmed the well-behaved fans is Bahraini web influencer Omar Al Farooq, and since the video went viral they have been widely praised.
When Al-Farooq asked one of the Japanese what made them clean, the answer was: "We are Japanese, we don't leave garbage behind, and we respect the place."
Al Farouq also emphasized: "I thought it was only one or two, but all the Japanese are in Nikko Stadium."
As mentioned, the Japanese also did the same in the previous World Cup in Russia, so after losing to Belgium (3:2) they were left behind to shine a clean stadium after them.
At the same time, the Japanese team made sure to clean and wash the dressing room in Rostov Arena.
