Due to the high temperatures in Qatar, the World Cup is exceptionally taking place in winter.
But when does Germany play?
And where are the games broadcast?
Munich – On November 20, 2022, the 22nd World Cup kicked off in Qatar.
A good four weeks later, the final (December 18) will take place in one of the most controversial football World Cups of all time.
The reason for the FIFA highlight being held in winter is the hot summer temperatures in the desert state.
A total of 32 teams will compete in 64 matches for the FIFA World Cup title.
France is the defending champion.
The DFB team starts in Qatar in the group phase on November 23 against Japan.
The record of national coach Hansi Flick's team against Japan is positive: 1 win (2004 friendly), 0 defeats, 1 draw (2006 friendly).
A better performance than at the last World Cup is expected at this World Cup: In 2018, the German national team failed in the preliminary round for the first time in World Cup history.

Which TV stations will broadcast the 2022 World Cup?
The telecom broadcaster Magenta TV holds the TV rights for the soccer World Cup.
Deutsche Telekom is the only provider to have secured the licenses for the full schedule.
So if you want to follow all 64 games of the 2022 World Cup live from Qatar, you have to take out a paid subscription to Magenta TV.
But the two public broadcasters ARD and ZDF are also broadcasting some games of the 2022 World Cup in the desert state via sublicenses: 48 of the 64 World Cup games will be shown live, including, of course, all games with German participation.
The 2022 World Cup can also be followed live on the Internet, as you can easily access the streaming offer of the TV stations.
Germany's game dates on TV
On most days of the preliminary round, up to four games will be kicked off between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. German time.
Commentators for games broadcast on ARD are Jessy Wellmer, Alexander Bommes and Esther Sedlaczek.
As an expert, ex-national player Bastian Schweinsteiger should be in the broadcast studio.
