The future of the senior league in the district of Donau/Isar was the focus of the AH meeting.

– Serious tones were struck on Tuesday at the AH meeting of the Donau/Isar football district.

Senior district director Stephan Fox had invited to the annual meeting in the BC Attaching clubhouse, with a good 20 participants from 14 clubs.

They discussed in detail whether and how a seniors' league could be continued in the Donau/Isar district in the future.

Flex round or small field league not an option

Background: In the past season there were only five clubs - and they canceled around a third of the games due to a lack of staff.

The AH management of VfB Hallbergmoos thinks there are too many: There must be a clear agreement that in the future at least five or six teams will start and then also want to kick - otherwise VfB would have to consider playing in another group.

Some representatives emphasized that it was difficult to find enough players for training in the AH area - and even fewer wanted to keep fixed game dates.

From the point of view of most clubs, a flex round (ten or nine players per team) or a small field league would not help.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Both district director Fox and district senior director Anton Jagdhuber emphasized that it would be a shame if the district fell apart completely.

They appealed to those responsible to consider whether further participants in the district league could be found through game communities or better exploitation of the second game right.

Some clubs will hold discussions and provide feedback by the end of the year.

District Council Cup will definitely take place

The district council cup in the Freising district will definitely take place again in 2023, Fox announced.

The implementation of an Ü40 cup is also planned.

The BFV officials emphatically pointed out the obligation that AH friendlies and indoor tournaments must also be registered in the BFV "SpielPlus" system, otherwise insurance cover would not be guaranteed.

The willingness to coordinate game transfers at an earlier stage should also be optimized.

In order to bring more clubs to the table in 2023, Fox plans to hold the meeting at two locations in the future and to declare it a mandatory date.
