The day before there was still a blow to the neck for Germany in the first World Cup game, a day later DFB star Adeyemi publishes his own podcast.

Doha - There are better moments to promote a private project than the hours after your own team's defeat.

If this team is also the German national team and the game marks the start of the 2022 World Cup, the unfortunate circumstances have almost reached their peak.

Nevertheless, fans of Karim Adeyemi have been able to listen to him and his best friend in a nice podcast chat since Thursday.

Against Japan without minutes, but 22 minutes podcast

When the German national team lost their opening match, Karim Adeyemi did not play a minute, the BVB striker spent the entire season on the substitutes' bench.

Instead, Niclas Füllkrug and Youssoufa Moukoko, two other offensive players, made short appearances from the bench.

However, both could not help to get at least one point for the DFB-Elf against Japan.

Adeyemi could therefore possibly collect his first World Cup minutes in the decisive game against Spain.

Since Thursday, fans who can't wait for the striker have had the opportunity to experience him, at least audibly.

Because since that day the first two episodes of the podcast "Karim & Benmachen Auge" have been online, the first episode has a playing time of 22 minutes.

Adeyemi wants to show "more personal side".

In the private project, which he runs with his best friend Ben Bako, Adeyemi doesn't just want to talk about football.

In the initially planned 16 episodes, the two want to talk about everything "that interests them on and off the football field." Adeyemi himself hopes "that the fans can get to know us from a much more personal side."

However, fans of the German national team need not fear that the podcast will distract the DFB striker from the sporting challenge.

The freshly published episode was recorded before the World Cup, which probably also applies to the other episodes and therefore Hansi Flick should not have any objections to his protégé's sideline activities.
