TSV Zorneding was able to record a successful district championship.
Both representatives of the club landed on the winner's podium.
Zorneding – The district representatives returned from the youth district championships with a great record.
64 participants (18 girls, 46 boys) had qualified for the tournament in Schwabhausen.
With Amélie Weing and Jonas Berendt, two young talents from TSV Zorneding had been given starting places - both ended up on the winner's podium.
Jonas Berendt won his preliminary round matches quite easily in the U15 age group and thus had a good starting position for the knockout round.
In the quarter-finals, the Zornedinger talent met Xia Yitian from FC Bayern Munich.
Here Berendt was challenged for the first time, but in the end he was able to win the fifth set 11:1 and thus the match.
Berendt has to admit defeat, girls doubles wins district titles
Proudly showed their winner's certificates: Amelie Weing (TSV Zorneding/r.) with partner Magdalena Weber.
In the semifinals, a second FCB player was waiting in Julian Inkis.
Berendt showed his best table tennis and won very clearly with 3:0 sets.
In the final, however, he had to concede the title of district champion to the Hofoldinger favorite Maximilian Keefer after a duel that was well worth seeing.
But Jonas Berendt could be more than satisfied with the result.
Winning the runners-up championship in the strong district of Upper Bavaria with the top clubs from Munich is a great success.
On the other hand, Amélie Weing got off to a bad start in the girls' class.
The Zornedingerin lost her opening match in Schwabhausen and didn't quite find her game afterwards either.
She finished sixth out of eight starters.
It went much better for Weing in doubles.
Together with Magdalena Weber (TSV Milbertshofen) she defeated a duo from FC Bayern Munich and one from TSC Maxvorstadt and celebrated the district title in the girls' doubles with a smile on her face.
