Despite a good pace and a number of situations beckoning for both teams, another game in the World Cup ended without the nets moving

Before Cristiano Ronaldo's first game in his last World Cup against Ghana, the teams of Uruguay and South Korea took to the grass today (Thursday) at the Education City Stadium for the game that opened Group 8 of the World Cup in Qatar.

The South Americans, like quite a few other national teams, are changing shifts and presenting a roster of veteran players such as Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Godin alongside the new generation players such as Federico Valverde and Rodrigo Bentancor.

On the other hand, with the South Koreans Jung Min Son, perhaps the biggest star in the country's history, hopes to turn his team into the Cinderella of the tournament, similar to what they did in 2002 when they hosted.

After three times this happened, in this game too we unfortunately got 0:0.

This time, although there was a very good pace and many situations beckoning for both teams, the nets did not move.

In the next round that will take place on Monday (28.11), Uruguay will meet Portugal and South Korea will meet Ghana.
