Bayern league club Peißenberg have to go away again.
Despite the success against Buchloe in the first leg, caution is called for.
Peißenberg
– The “stade time” before Christmas traditionally begins with the first weekend in Advent.
In the near future it will also be very quiet in the Peißenberg ice stadium as far as the home games of the "Miners" are concerned.
The Bavarian league team is only in action once this weekend and next – and that abroad.
The home fans will only see their team again on Sunday, December 11th, against ERV Schweinfurt on their own ice.
"Then the fans will definitely be really keen to go to the stadium," says coach Sepp Staltmayr, accepting the schedule as it is.
Coach Staltmayr recalls the messed up performance last January
This Friday (November 25) his team will first be a guest at ESV Buchloe (8 p.m.).
As a Peißenberg fan you can also drive there, "it's not that far," says Staltmayr about the approximately 50-kilometer journey to the home of the "Pirates", who only made a guest appearance in Peißenberg about two weeks ago.
The "Miners" won the first leg with difficulty 3:1.
That's why they go into the second leg with a warning, which may also be due to the memory of the messed-up appearance at their last guest appearance in Buchloe.
Last January, the Peißenbergers - albeit extremely weak in terms of personnel - went under the wheels in the first game of the promotion round with 5:11.
"That's in the past," emphasizes Staltmayr.
In addition, his team is currently in much better shape than eleven months ago.
"We also know how the Buchloer play",
Buchloer's 7-1 victory against title candidate Königsbrunn urges caution
The "Pirates" made people sit up and take notice last week with a 7:1 victory at EHC Koenigsbrunn, which was considered the title candidate.
"After they didn't start the season so well, they're now in the swing of things," says Staltmayr, who is currently in ninth place in the table and clearly on an upward trend.
But the “Miners” would like to end it.
“We want to win this important game.
Because we're only challenged once, the boys can give it their all," said Staltmayr, expecting his men to perform with commitment and concentration.
It is not yet clear whether they will appear in the newly assembled rows from last weekend or in the line-up from the previous games.
"That won't be decided until the final training session," reveals Staltmayr,
Peißenberg's coach draws a positive balance of the first half of the season
His interim balance at the end of the first half of the Bayernliga season is positive.
"We are on schedule and absolutely satisfied," judges Staltmayr.
His team is currently in third place behind Miesbach and Ulm/Neu-Ulm.
He also sees a lot of development potential in the team.
"We're working towards showing the best performance at the end of the season," said the "Miners" coach.
