On the fifth day of the World Cup in Qatar, four games are again on the agenda.

There are some superstars involved.

Doha - On the day after the German team's botched start at the World Cup, Brazil will be one of the top favorites in the tournament this Thursday.

The record world champion will face Serbia in the evening.

Cristiano Ronaldo's first appearance with Portugal against Ghana is also eagerly awaited.

Switzerland - Cameroon (11.00 a.m. / MagentaTV)

At the World Cup, the Swiss want to build on their strong performances at the European Championships last year, when it was only a penalty shoot-out against Spain in the quarter-finals.

The team, which is made up of numerous current and former Bundesliga professionals, goes into the duel with Cameroon as the slight favourites.

Gladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer got fit in time.

Uruguay - South Korea (2 p.m. / ZDF and MagentaTV)

For Uruguay's veterans Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani, the World Cup in Qatar is the last appearance on the big soccer stage.

The South Americans have endured a tricky qualification but are aiming to get back into the knockout stages, as they have been since 2010.

The South Koreans feared for a long time for superstar Heung-Min Son, who suffered a fracture in his face.

But the former Hamburger can play with a mask.

Portugal - Ghana (5 p.m. / ZDF and MagentaTV)

Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldo - there was only one topic for the Portuguese before the start of the World Cup.

The question is how much the discussions about the superstar have weighed on the team.

The start against Ghana is uncomfortable.

Coach Otto Addo's team, who work as talent developers in Dortmund, have made it their goal to survive the preliminary round and need every point to do so.

Brazil - Serbia (8 p.m. / ZDF and MagentaTV)

In Qatar it should finally work for the Brazilians with the "Hexa", the sixth world title.

And the starting position is good.

Above all, the record world champion has a high-class offensive line-up.

Eyes are especially on superstar Neymar.

The Serbs want to make it difficult for the Seleção with their robustness.

Former Frankfurt star Filip Kostic is in danger of failing due to a thigh injury.
