Explosive visit from the neighborhood: EHC expects Rosenheim for the derby

In the Oberliga Süd, EHC Klostersee is expecting the Starbulls Rosenheim for the derby this weekend.

At the weekend, the Grafingers will first meet the Starbulls Rosenheim in the Wildbräu Arena (Friday, 8 p.m.), on Sunday there will be a threesome at EV Füssen in the Allgäu from 6 p.m.
"Of course we want to try everything in both encounters to finally get the first win," coach Dominik Quinlan said combatively on behalf of the red and white team.
The EHC undoubtedly has better chances of a sense of achievement abroad.
In the first leg against Füssen, a 3-4 win after a penalty shoot-out earned one of the meager two points that have been on the plus side so far.
Before the start of the league game in the Oberliga Süd, the EVF was classified as one of the teams with roughly the same level of performance as the Klosterseers who had been promoted.
The first meeting underlined this assessment, but Füssen has shown more continuity so far and ranks tenth with three wins in regular time and four after overtime.
"We still don't have the cleverness and experience for that," says EHC head coach Quinlan, who, like defender Yannick Kischer, will be back in the home derby after a one-game ban.
Outside striker Roeder makes his comeback
The squad around Captain Raphael Kaefer in Rosenheim had sold dearly.
However, it was not more than a respectable 1:3 for the EHClers, who had been left behind mainly because of their weak completion rate.
On average, there are currently no two goals per game.
"So in ice hockey, even with an extremely strong defense, like the ones we've put on the ice in a few games so far, there's little to change," says Quinlan.
Winger Simon Roeder is available again for the team and will be making his comeback after a seven-week injury break.
With whom the winger will attack in an offensive row will be decided after the final training.
Especially because due to illness it is not yet certain who can be there.
Vollmayer is out
This also applies to the guests, where, among other things, Maximilian Vollmayer (virus disease) is absent.
The EHC homegrown, recently 27 years old, is one of the leaders in the Starbulls and proved exactly that in the first leg with the important opening goal.
Whether Vollmayer, who keeps fit by cycling, will at least be there as a gang guest in the Wildbräu Arena, he left open.
Of course, he follows the career of his home club so far.
“We have seen time and again in recent years that it is very difficult for a promoted team,” says Vollmayer.
"I'm more surprised by teams like Passau or Landsberg, who regularly score.
