The PSG hand in front of an acquaintance, to discover kyudo... Your sports weekend in Île-de-France

2022-11-25T08:02:06.763Z

Many sporting events will animate the halls and stadiums of the Paris region between this Friday and Sunday. We about you

The winter break is coming soon, but good habits don't change.

Before each weekend, Le Parisien offers a selection of issues and events not to be missed in Île-de-France.

Overview.

The poster of the weekend: PSG challenges its former goalkeeper

HANDBALL

.

Paris has not forgotten him.

This Sunday, Vincent Gérard will be in Coubertin's goal cages... but with the Saint-Raphaël jersey (10th in the standings) on his back.

Having left for the Côte d'Azur in the offseason, the former PSG goalkeeper (2019-2022) will therefore find some of his former teammates facing him, who will have only one desire: to stick as much as possible goals at the last bastion of the French team to remain co-leaders of the championship.

Winners of Gudme on Wednesday in the Champions League, the Parisians must not let Nantes and Montpellier (which also play Sunday in Créteil) slip away.

In Proligue, it is another distance duel between co-leaders which continues this Friday.

The difference with the Starligue is that it is from the Ile-de-France region.

Tremblay, who goes to Frontignan (5th), does not have the favors of the forecasts unlike Pontault, who goes to Strasbourg, the last of the class with 10 defeats.

But anything can happen...

The good deed: walking and picking up litter

It's a good way to link the useful and the pleasant.

To walk useful, for the planet.

This Saturday, November 26, the Domaine de Longchamps, located in the Bois de Boulogne, will be the site of a collaborative waste collection day.

The objective is to raise awareness among the youngest (from 6 years old) but not only on the pollution of the planet but also in the city as in Paris.

This day is made possible thanks to the Trash Spotter application which makes it possible to report the presence of abandoned waste and indicate their collections in a few clicks.

The creators of the app will be there.

The waste collection is organized by the GoodPlanet Foundation and in partnership with the Marcheurs Cueilleurs association, sponsored by the famous photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, whose objective is to "clean up nature,

Distribution of materials from 2:30 p.m. at the Good Planet Foundation.

The moment of sharing: the Cross du Figaro

RUNNING.

Created in 1961, and temporarily interrupted in 2000 after its 40th edition, the Cross du Figaro, which counted up to 36,000 participants in 1979, is a legendary race.

After the Bois de Boulogne, the Cross du Figaro has been taking place since 2013 in the Domaine de Saint-Cloud.

This new edition will take place in the heart of one of the most beautiful parks, surrounded by nature, and on the edge of waterfalls, ponds and thickets.

Four races are scheduled (5, 10, 15, 20 kilometers) with departures at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Confirmed runners and beginner runners can start together whatever their distance because the start of this race is grouped.

A nocturnal and festive 5 km event under the sign of the aperitif (!) is also on the menu this Friday (8 p.m.).

Finally, the Cross du Figaro is the inaugural event of the 2019 Telethon. It will start this week of popular mobilization and part of the registration fees and the profits from the sale of t-shirts will be donated to the Telethon.

To exert yourself without counting the cost: the Bike & Run in Palaiseau

TRIATHLON.

The US Palaiseau Triathlon section (affiliated to the FFTRI, French Triathlon Federation) and the City of Palaiseau are organizing the 13th edition of the Bike & Run which will take place this Sunday on the site of the Ecole Polytechnique de Palaiseau.

The event is part of the Île-de-France Bike & Run 2022-2023 challenge and will also support the 2022 Bike&Run French championships.

Bike & Run is a discipline that consists of running and mountain biking (without assistance) in teams with a single bike for two team members.

Practiced on forest paths, the event is open and accessible to all.

Team members switch freely on the bike and are not required to stay together.

To cross the finish line, team members must be together in the “finish staging area” (approximately 100 m).

The motto to follow: "Keep a calm mind at the height of the competition"

MARTIAL ARTS.

On November 26 and 27, 2022, the French Kyudo Cup, or traditional Japanese archery, will take place at the CDFAS in Eaubonne (Luc Abalo sports complex), bringing together around a hundred competitors.

Admission will be free and the opportunity to discover a unique discipline that combines the pleasure of shooting and the Zen spirit of a martial Way in the purest Japanese tradition.

Several dozen archers from all over France, individually or in teams, will compete for the podium over two days.

France regularly distinguishes itself as champion or vice-champion at international tournaments, whether individually or in teams.

The zen and chivalrous art of traditional Japanese archery is a perfect inspiration to find a little serenity in a practice of body and mind where target performance is adorned with elegance and also expresses high moral values.

To see kyudo is to witness the aesthetic and sporting dimension of a Japanese art which is put on show through shooting ceremonies or during competitions.

The number: 8

Like the number of defeats in as many games since the start of the season for the volleyball players of Levallois.

Promoted to Ligue A, the players of Fred Havas hope to put an end to this black series with the reception of Saint-Raphaël on Saturday.

A mission that promises to be complicated.

At the top of the standings, on the other hand, all is well for the Stade Français Paris Saint-Cloud, which is in 5th place but only two lengths behind leader Nantes.

The Mariannes, the nickname of the Parisians, are undefeated this season in their den of Geo André and hope to remain so after the arrival of Béziers (7th) on Saturday.
