Danny Avdia was not able to prevent the Washington Wizards' second consecutive loss to the Miami Heat tonight (between Friday and Saturday), but it seems that as the season progresses, the Israeli manages to position himself as a player who is able to contribute to the team in a variety of aspects.
After the previous loss against the rival from Florida, in which the forward almost completed a triple-double, there is talk of the increase in his dominance when Bradley Beal is not playing.
Tonight the star of the Wizards returned to the rotation, and naturally Avdia had less possession of the ball, but still managed to show his ability to influence not only through points.
After 11 minutes in the first quarter, Avdia already had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, when it looked like he was on his way to double figures in more than one statistical column, but in the end he finished with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists, in addition to -2 blocks and one steal.
In terms of shooting, the Israelis had a less productive evening, with 0/4 beyond the arc, 2/4 for two and 4/6 from the line.
Chase Hughes, who covers Washington for "NBC", analyzed after the game: "Abadiah filled the stat sheet. After scoring in double figures in almost all of the last games, in the two against Miami he stood out more thanks to his overall versatility. Abadia got the small position Starting forward since the start of the season and self-described role as 'the glue.' It took him a while to acclimate, but right now he seems to be doing what the Wizards need him to do in that role. However, in terms of consistency Avdia still needs to improve, as he went 2-for-8 from the field, missed a free throw in crucial minutes in the fourth quarter and lost three balls."

The next game for Avdia and his friends will be away against the hot Boston Celtics, so it will not be easy for them to get their 11th win of the season there.
