As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he has 8 goals in 18 games.
The Portuguese, however, set a record by becoming the first player to score in 5 editions (2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022).

With seven goals in the World Cup, Kylian Mbappé also becomes a French legend.
He is the second top scorer in Les Bleus history, ahead of Thierry Henry (6 in 17 games), Zinédine Zidane (5 in 12) and Michel Platini (5 in 14).
He is only beaten by the impressive Just Fontaine, author of 13 goals in six games and a single edition!
Fontaine is still part of the top 5 of the best scorers in the history of the World Cup.
The record holder is Miroslav Klose (Germany) with 16 units in 24 games.
