Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem continues to be renewed.

The Jerusalem Municipality, through the municipal company 'Ariel', which is responsible for the management and operation of the stadium, completed during the World Cup break the replacement of the lighting system in Teddy, with an advanced and innovative LED lighting system, which operates in several large stadiums in Europe, and which is adapted to the international requirements and standards of UEFA. It should be noted that the stadium Teddy was chosen to host two of the five games of the Israeli national team in the upcoming campaign of the European Championship qualifiers.

This is a smart lighting system, which includes 176 new lighting fixtures that will provide particularly strong light intensity and a more accurate distribution, on the grass, which will lead to a significant upgrade in the viewing experience of the audience in the stadium as well as in the broadcasts of the games on television.

In addition, the new system will allow the performance of spectacular lighting shows and representations in the stadium as well as in the ceremony of introducing the players.

Also, the lighting system that was installed is efficient and environmentally friendly and will result in energy savings and electricity savings in the stadium.

The new system joins the green revolution led by Teddy Stadium, which is the first soccer stadium in Israel, which produces green electricity for self-consumption through a solar system installed on its entire perimeter (on the legends above the stands).

The solar system in Teddy, which covers an area of 5,000 square meters, produces about one million kWh per year, clean energy for the environment.

At the same time as replacing the lighting system, the Jerusalem Municipality and the 'Ariel' company completed the upgrade and expansion of the security camera system throughout the stadium.

In this framework, about 120 smart cameras with advanced technology were installed in all the entrances, exits, stands and lobbies of the stadium.

The new cameras are connected to the control center in the stadium's control center and allow, among other things, face and movement recognition in extremely high resolutions. The new lighting system and the upgrade of the security camera system in the stadium join the installation of about 6,700 new chairs in the north stand, which was completed in Teddy about three months ago.

The Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon: "Teddy Stadium continues to be upgraded. Completing the installation of economical lighting in the stadium is another step in the general upgrade that the stadium has been undergoing in recent years. The new lighting is economical and efficient lighting that will improve the viewing experience and the game experience. In the coming years, Teddy will continue to upgrade and even renew itself in line Light rail. There is something to look forward to."
