EV Moosburg with a courageous performance against the Isarrats

EV Moosburg made life difficult for the favorite EV Dingolfing, but lost 6:9.
The reason was once again unnecessary goals conceded.

– "It was a great game for the spectators, but not so much for the coaches," said Bernie Englbrecht on Friday evening after his Isarrats' 9-6 win at EV Moosburg.
The Dingolfing coach particularly criticized his squad for giving the hosts too many chances and goals on the defensive.
EVM coach Benoit Doucet, on the other hand, was proud of his team, who had put in a good performance.
"Even if it wasn't enough for a win because we always conceded unnecessary and easy goals when we came close."

The Green-Yellows delivered a courageous performance against the promotion favorites, although the guests pressed at the beginning and after losing a disc behind the EVM goal through Max Hofbauer, they took the lead early (4th).
Shortly thereafter, Kevin Aigner made it 2-0 (11th), but keeper Thomas Mende saved his colors from falling behind.
A little later, EVM Canadian Cedrick Chagnon crowned a fine individual performance with the 1:2 goal (17th).
Missed equalization, conceded a goal
That shook the EVD's self-image a bit, especially since in the second period after the overtime goal from Alex Janzen (25th), the hosts again shortened the lead through Tobias Hanöffner (32nd).
But Dingolfing responded with a wild rush and tied the brace through Aigner (34th) and Janzen (35th) to make it 5:2.
But that didn't shock the green-yellow on Friday either: Within seven seconds, the team from Dreirosenstadt caught up to 4:5 thanks to Stefan Groß (37th) and Chagnon (37th).
Seconds later, the decisive scene of the game: EVM defender Alex Schardt ran alone towards the guest goal - but goalie Christian Hamberger fended it off.
The disc was hit forward from the third, where Dominik Schindlbeck, who had just come out of the penalty box, passed the puck to the middle and Florian Meichel scored to make it 6:4 for the Isarrats (38th).

EVM also gave their best in the final section and shortened twice through Alex Schardt (45th/54th).
But the meticulous referee handed out wild penalties so that the EVD could keep the distance thanks to Janzen (52nd) and Aigner (57th).
